This and That
I just wanted to post a few random thoughts...
I am so proud of our girls right now. Since bringing in the prize basket for completing their PP, I have checked off over 10 value experiences!! The girls love to get some little thing for their hard work and I am more than willing to keep the basket full if it motivates them! We have great girls in our ward and I hope that you all know how proud your leaders are of you!
We had a great lesson today by Sister Stewart. She is an awesome teacher (awesome is one of her favorite words!!). She taught us about the importance of sustaining and supporting our priesthood leaders. I have always believed that, but I liked how she wrote on the board the word sustain. it made me think of how we need food and water to sustain our bodies. Without those essentials, we would not have the energy that we need. And so it is with sustaining our church leaders-they need our support and our prayers to keep them going.
I love being in Young Womens in the Lincoln Ward. The girls in this ward have made me feel welcome...they laugh at my silly ways and they are just a happy lot of girls. I love that they don't judge each other and that they sit near each other. I love that they think of those girls that don't come much. I love that they come to church dressed appropriately and that they do not speak with foul language. Heavenly Father has blessed each daughter with divine qualities-I am grateful to see that this group of girls is learning their divine role and that they are good examples to those around them.

The Book of Mormon
THE BOOK OF MORMON
Wonder what would happen if we treated our Book of Mormon like our cell phones?
**What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
**What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it?
**What if we flipped through it several times a day?
**What if we spent an hour or more using it each day?
**What if we used it to receive messages from its text?
**What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
**What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
**What if we used it as we traveled?
**What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go...Hummm...where is my Book of Mormon? Oh and a few other things:
Unlike our cell phones:
**One plan fits all.
**Unlimited usage.**No roaming charges.
**You always have reception.
**You don't have to buy batteries.
**No weak signals.
**And you never have to worry about being disconnected...Our SAVIOR already paid the bill. This really made me think...Can you imagine the difference this would make in our lives? Try treating your Book of Mormon like your cell phone...I know I'm going to try to!
